Food Review: Jack Astor's Calamari

Jack Astor's  is a chain restaurant with locations all over Canada and New York. It's a great place to eat. I've always thought that the cutest thing about it was the crayons you could get to write on tables.

Calamari is one of my favorite things in the world. I love seafood in general, but when I first had calamari a few years ago, I couldn't get enough of it.

Beautifully breaded and tender inside, it's what my best friend and I always order first. Jack Astor's serves its calamari as the rings as well as the little pieces with the tentacles, which happen to be my favorite part. I love the squishy feeling of chewing them and I can never get enough of it. It is served with roasted lemon garlic aioli and a sriracha cocktail sauce. They were perfect accompaniments to this dish. I would suggest not to dip too much of the lemon aioli sauce as it can be a bit over bearing, especially if you are like myself and like to put that sprinkle of lemon on.

Note: Don't over do it with the lemon! It can make it too sour.
