Hello my loves!

I hope everyone is doing well!

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that one of my greatest loves always been Manga and Anime!

Manga is the name given to graphic novels or "comics" that originated in Japan, and what they are commonly known as outside of the country. According to the Handbook of Contemporary Japanese Religions, the word "Manga" has been apart of the Japanese vocabulary since 1798.

Anime's are essentially cartoons. Many popular Manga's such as the ones in the list below.

With the help of one of my friends, we've compiled a list of 10 anime's for you to watch!

  1. Naruto Franchise
  2. Bleach
  3. One Piece
  4. My Hero Academia
  5. One-Punch Man
  6. Black Clover
  7.  Fullmetal Alchemist & Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
  8. Soul Eater
  9. Fairy Tail
  10. Seven Deadly Sins

Naruto

Naruto (TV Series 2002–2007) - IMDb

Naruto is probably one of the worlds most popular Manga/ Anime Series. The series follows Naruto Uzumaki. He is an orphan who has been shunned by his village because of the chakra of the nine-tailed demon trapped in him. Desperate for acceptance, he trains to become a Ninja and he vows to one day become the Hokage-- the village leader. This series contains manly elements of Japanese mythology.

The franchise is broken down into the following series:

  1. Naruto
  2. Naruto Shippuden
  3. The multiple movies
  4. and Boruto: The Next Generation,
which follows the adventures of Naruto's son
FYI: I cried a lot.

Bleach

Bleach follows Ichigo Kurosaki who becomes a soul reaper. A soul reaper helps to protect the souls of the recently deceased and help them rest and must also fight against lost souls that have become violent as they couldn't find peace.

The series comprises of 366 episodes with the final installation of the series "Thousand Years of Blood" scheduled to be adapted.

While I have personally not watched the anime, I have read the manga and there are several subplots in the anime that were not found in the manga.

One Piece

One Piece is probably one of the longest-running anime's I've ever heard and currently has over 900 episodes and first aired in October 1999.

The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, whose body has elastic properties and with the help of his friends they sail the world looking for a mythical piece of treasure known as 'one piece' to become the pirate king.

My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia (TV Series 2016– ) - IMDb

My Hero Academia focuses on Izuku Midoriya. The story takes place in a period of time where many humans have superpowers, known in the series as "quirks". Izuku lacks a quirk, but this does not stop him from pursuing his dream of becoming a superhero!

One-Punch Man

One Punch Man (TV Series 2015– ) - IMDb

One-Punch Man is the story of Saitama, a superhero with the power Rocky wishes he had... The ability to knock out his opponent with one punch. The show follows his journey to find an opponent he can truly fight.

Black Clover

Black Clover (season 1) - Wikipedia

I am currently watching Black Clover, amongst the many things that I have been watching and I have to say, I'm really enjoying it!

The show switches its main focus on Asta and Yuno, two orphans who wish to become the Wizard King. At the point of the show that I'm at, they are mainly focusing on Asta, an over the top colourful character who, unlike Yuno and other members of the Magic Knights, does not possess any magic but possesses a weapon that helps him defend himself from magic.

Fullmetal Alchemist & Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

www.gstatic.com/tv/thumb/tvbanners/9064332/p906... Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV Series 2009–2012) - IMDb

Fullmetal Alchemist follows the Elric Brothers who have the ability to use alchemy.

The brothers attempted to resurrect their mother, something that is considered a big no-no in Alchemy. This resulted in Edward, the oldest brother, to lose an arm and a leg, whist Alphonso, the youngest, lost his body and in order to save his brother, Edward tied his brother's body to a metal suit. The series follows the brothers are they search for the Philosopher's Stone (major Harry Potter feels) in order to get their bodies back.

I have recently started watching Brotherhood. This series reiterates the first, however, it takes a more in-depth look at the story bringing attention to things that were not shown in the first.

Soul Eater

Soul Eater takes place in Death City, Nevada at Death Weapon Meister Academy and is run by a Shinigami and revolves around 7 student's in training who have to use their weapons to obtain the souls of 99 evil humans and a witch in order to increase the power of their weapons.

Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail follows the travels of Natsu Dragneel and his band of companions as they travel the fighting dragons and completing missions. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the show as I haven't watched it and that's really all my friend told me about the show.

Seven Deadly Sins
The Seven Deadly Sins: Hikari to Yami no Grand Cross - Twitch

Seven Deadly Sins is probably one of my favourite animes. The characters are amazing!

The show is set in the land of Britannia (so England) in the middle ages and is focused on a group of knights with amazing powers known as the Seven Deadly Sins. They were disbanded and went into hiding as they were accused of planning a coup.

The show follows the leader, Meliodas as he travels around the lands trying to find the remaining members of his team in order to save the country.

Hope you find this list helpful and if you have watched any of these shows or have any recommendations on what to watch, please let us know in the comments below!
