If you're looking for something to watch today, I suggest trying out Anne with an E.
Like Alias Grace, Anne with an E is a Canadian series based on Anne of Green Gables, a Classic Canadian Story originally written in 1908 by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
I loved this adaptation of the story and the actors did a great job capturing the qualities of the characters. One of the great things about this adaptation is that the writers added situations that were obviously not found in the original such as LGBTQ characters and characters of colour, which actually quite surprised me when they first appeared.
There are currently two seasons on Netflix, and a third that is being produced by Netflix as the series was unfortunately cancelled by CBC. I'm not sure when the third season is scheduled to premiere, but hopefully it does soon! I can't wait to see what happens 😄
Good show. I haven't watched this in a while. I need to get caught up.
